Aftercare

We understand that the tattooing process does not end with the application of ink on your skin. Proper aftercare is equally essential to ensure that your tattoo looks as good as new for years to come. We offer a guarantee on our tattoos and will provide touch-up sessions free of charge to ensure that the ink stays as vibrant as it was on day one.

Additionally, our tattoo artists will provide you with detailed instructions on how to care for your new tattoo during the healing process. From cleaning the area to applying ointment and avoiding certain activities that could damage the tattoo, we will guide you through the aftercare process to ensure your tattoo looks its best. We want to ensure that your tattoo is not just a temporary addition to your skin but a permanent piece of art that you can be proud of for a lifetime.

FAQ

We believe your tattoo can be whatever you want it to be.

It can have meaning or it can just be for fashion. As long as it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

  • How do I know if a tatto is right for me?
Choosing a tattoo is a personal decision, and there's no right or wrong choice. It's important to think about what you want because it will stay with you for life. Whether your tattoo has meaning or is purely aesthetic, it should work for you. If you're struggling to come up with a design, our artists can help. At Nguyen Tattoo STudio, we believe in creating tattoos that our clients will love."
  • How do I choose a tattoo design
To choose a tattoo design, start by doing some research and finding images that you like. Look for a common thread in these images, whether it's the subject or the style. If you like a variety of different things, you may need more thought or want more than one tattoo. Consider having a consultation with a tattoo artist to get valuable feedback and work together to figure out the best design for you. Working with your tattoo artist is crucial in choosing the perfect design.
  • Does Nguyen Tattoo Studio do different tattoo styles?
Of course we do. We have artists that specialize in colour realism, black and grey realism, illustrative, custom lettering, blackwork and more. Check them all out in our tattoo gallery.
  • How much will my tattoo cost?
Tattoos are priced by piece or hour. Pieces over 4 hours are charged hourly, while those under 4 hours are charged by the piece. Prices are determined by subject, style, placement, colors, detail, and size. Hourly rates vary by artist, so please come in for a consultation to get an accurate quote. • What about health & Safety?
Nguyen Tattoo Studio ensures hygienic and safe conditions for all tattoos and piercings by using only single-use equipment and reputable supplies. Our studio undergoes annual inspections by the health department to guarantee compliance with the required standards
  • How should I prepare for my tattoo session?
We suggest wearing comfortable, loose clothing to avoid rubbing against your fresh tattoo. Make sure to schedule enough time for your session and avoid rushing off. Our artists will take their time to ensure the best results. It's important to avoid excessive alcohol consumption (under 3 drinks are recommended) and any blood-thinning medication 24 hours before your appointment."
  • How do I know my tattoo is healed?
The best answer is, your body will tell you. You will instinctively know. Your tattoo will be a part of your skin and you will no longer “feel” that it’s healing. If you are unsure, give it a few extra days before you resume all the activities you held off during healing.
  • Is it possible to cover up an old tattoo with something new?
Yes, most tattoos can be covered up with something new. We have done a lot of cover ups and it’s great to see clients ecstatic with their new pieces. That being said, every tattoo is different and we really need to see the piece before we can give a definitive answer. Don’t guess, give us a call or come by one of our locations and we can discuss the possibilities.
  • Can scars be covered up?
Our philosophy has never been to just tattoo over a scar but to use the design of a tattoo to draw a viewer’s eye away from the scar itself. We do this because some scars will take ink while others may not. By putting a well-designed image around scars, even if some spots wont take ink, the scars are no longer obvious. In this case, the tattoo is designed to draw the focus away from the scar or even incorporate the scar into the tattoo’s design.
  • Are there any tattoo designs that harder to cover up?
You want to make sure that your tattoo artist is confident with the new design, which is why it’s important to have a consultation first. While most tattoos are eligible for a cover-up, the more “photo-realistic” the tattoo is, the more challenging the cover-up will be because tattoo cover-ups often work best when the same style is used for the new tattoo. Faces are also generally more challenging to cover because your artist will have to distort a face into a new design. Despite this, we encourage you to have a consultation with a tattoo artist to discuss your tattoo cover-up idea so that you can work with them to find a solution that is most fitting for your situation.
